Whether your school is following a scheme or not, this course is designed to provide an opportunity for UKS2 teachers to analyse the full depth and breadth of the Y5/6 English Writing National Curriculum; not just the assessment framework. There will be time to reflect and ensure that the curriculum you deliver throughout Y5 and Y6, plans for adequate opportunities that enable pupils to solidly evidence the expected standard and above by the time they reach the end of KS2.

Course Objectives:

• Opportunity to reflect and review current practice and curriculum with colleagues
• Practical ideas and tips from current practitioners and advisors to use in the classroom
• Deeper understanding of ways to enable pupils to securely achieve their potential – including GDS
