The Children’s and Traded Services Business Intelligence Team coordinates and manages the electronic provision of data and information to all maintained schools, academies, and the Local Authority (LA).
By collecting data and providing information and analyses, the team enables customers to make data-driven, evidence-based decisions when managing their day-to-day business and developing longer-term strategies for their organisation.
Our Packages
School & Pupil Performance Analysis Data Packs
The team offer a wide range of reports and analyses to support maintained schools and academies understand their strengths, manage resources and identify areas that may require attention. These analyses are tailored to school type and evolve over time based on changes to central government policy and availability of the source data.
Free School Meal Eligibility Checking
We provide a service that checks individual pupils’ eligibility for Free School Meals (FSM) by submitting their parents’ details to the DfE’s Eligibility Checking System (ECS). In addition, we provide advice and guidance on the government legislation and eligibility criteria to support you with queries on individual cases.
FFT Subscription
FFT Aspire is a web-based tool to support school self-evaluation and target setting for schools and individual pupils, which integrates with your management information system for pupil data updates. Ad-hoc Services
Additional analysis and reports, including catchment boundary maps, can be requested as required and are subject to additional costs and staff capacity within the team. Please e-mail requests to smst@buckinghamshire.gov.uk
‘Free’ Services
Statutory Data Collection Support
Advice, guidance and support for the submission of all statutory data collections to the relevant regulatory bodies. Includes quality assurance of your returns (subject to timely receipt of your data).
Secure Data Transfer
Maintaining the AnyComms Plus secure file transfer server and licences to facilitate the quick and secure transfer of files between schools and the LA.
Core performance and Contextual Information
Provision of individual school reports summarising core performance and contextual information with comparisons to county-wide results.
