Our education service
Management support
The School Management Support Team supports the coordination and management of the electronic provision of data and information to all schools, academies, and the local authority. Providing a range of contextual and performance information to support a school, early years and local authority planning, performance monitoring and to assist with school self-evaluation.
Admissions and Appeals
The Admissions and Transport Team will administer and coordinate your appeal cases to provide a Local Authority consultant to represent and support you with the appeal hearing. Please note that this service is not related to the work of the Education Appeals Team who administers the actual hearings. The Team is also able to provide a distance measuring service for in-year admissions.
School Improvement
The School Improvement Team offers a variety of training courses that have been designed to allow teachers to compare their judgments of attainment using the teacher assessment frameworks and to develop confidence in leading discussions with external moderators.
County Attendance
The County Attendance Team provides a high-quality front-line service that enables schools, academies, and the local authority to fulfill their statutory responsibilities in respect of school attendance, safeguarding, and child employment/entertainment. It provides holistic, child centred support which facilitates good practice and ensures that the welfare of the child remains paramount.
Libraries
Buckinghamshire Schools Library Service offers a comprehensive and flexible resource and advisory service to all phases of education, from nursery to post-16. We provide support for a number of library management systems that are on the market and can help you choose the one that best suits the needs of your school and your budget.
Education visits
We offer education visits support to Schools, Academies, and Independent schools. This includes occasions where a young person takes part in an out-of-classroom learning activity that is carried out beyond the boundary of the school.
